At The Beach With My Family

This year we got to spend some time at the beach with my Uncle Kenneth, Aunt Cindy, Jamie and Cady.  My cousins are quite a bit older than me but I get so excited when I get to see them.  My Uncle Kenneth is really silly.  He is always trying to tease me and show me odd things.  This year he told me that we were going to catch a seaguill and paint it blue!  That is really silly.

We spent a lot of time cooking out and playing on the beach.  We also went to the aquarium where we saw some pretty cool pengiuns.  We always go to the Big Oak Drive-In to get the best shrimp burgers.  The Big Oak Drive-In is pretty famous.  It has been featured in Southern Living for it's shrimp burgers.

Being Silly! 

Happy Father's Day 2012

Mommy and I woke up very early and tiptoed out of the house.  We wanted to suprise Daddy with some yummy hot glazed donuts for Father's Day!  What a nice way to wake up!    

After we ate our donuts we decided to celebrate by heading to the North Carolina Zoo!  This is one of our favorite places to go!  I have been several times and I love it each and every time!  One of the special highlights this visit was a pregnant Giraffe!  She was ready to have her baby any moment.  Look at her belly in the picture.  It sure is big! We also saw a special dinosaur exhibit.  I really like dinosaurs a lot.  I can even say their big long names!  Oh, I almost forget my Mama got an unexpected surprise from one of the dinosaurs.  He sprayed her with water.  She was really got soaked!  Roar!!

Eden's First Camping Trip In The NC Mountains 2012

We decided to take Eden on her first camping trip for Memorial Day weekend!  We set up camp at beautiful Julian Price Lake Park in the North Carolina mountains.  We packed our sleeping bags, air mattress, and lots of yummy food for a cookout.  We put up the tent after arriving sort of late.  Yikes it was dark and we took a shortcut through a dark winding mountain road to get to our camp site.  It was sort of scary!  An adventure for sure!

  The next day we went to Grandfather Mountain, saw the bears and then headed to Tweetsie Railroad.  We ended the day at the Trout Farm where Eden & Daddy caught our fresh dinner for the night.  We headed back to our campsite and grilled fresh caught trout and steak on our camp fire.  We ended the evening roasting marshmallows and eating yummy key lime pie!  We have a little camper in our family and we can't wait to explore some more beautiful sites!
