In June we headed out to Tweetsie Railroad in Boone NC to ride Thomas The Train! What is so special about taking Eden to Tweestie (this is her second trip already) is that I spent time here as a child myself. Tweetsie Railroad is located in the NC moutains closed to the quaint litte town "Blowing Rock". We stayed in Linville Falls in a little cabin. Not only did we have a great time riding the "old steam engine train" around the moutain but our trout fishing trip was a blast! We caught trout, had them cleaned, and cooked them up on our grill back at the cabin. We had the best meal ever sitting on our little cabin porch in the cool mountain air. We also took a trip up to Grandfathers moutain and walked across the "mile high" swinging bridge. Eden fill in love with "Mildred The Bear". Mildred was a bear who actually lived at Grandfather's moutain and roamed freely from 67-93. What a wonderful story! Eden has a "Mildred" stuff bear now that she loves to play with!
