Easter Egg Hunt April 2011

It's Easter and Spring is finally here! I decided that a neighborhood Easter Egg Hunt at our park would be fun so I got busy coordinating with the Easter Bunny! Wow he is so busy and was rather hard to find! We all paraded over to the park in our wagons! What a beautiful sunny spring day! The kids had a great time hunting the Easter Eggs. The Easter bunny was really busy this year. There were about 90 eggs to find! Eden is so lucky to have lot's of playmates in her neighborhood and a beautiful park right in her backyard. After the Easter Egg Hunt we had Uncle Kenneth, Aunt Cindy, Jamie and Cady over for Easter Dinner and another Easter Egg Hunt. Oh, I almost forget to mention that Eden's daddy made her a Easter Bunny cake. I bet a lot of people didn't know that Eden's daddy can bake! Mama's idea but Daddy's handy work!

Our Disney World Trip March 2011

Even though we were given much advice to wait until Eden was older to take her to Disney World because she wouldn't remember the trip, we went anyway! Because her parents are big kids and quite frankly we just couldn't wait ourselves we set out on Eden's first Disney trip! Guess what? She was amazing the entire trip! She rode on the plane in her very own seat! No car seat this time because we rode on the Disney Magic Express bus to our resort! After reviewing all the many resort options, we chose the "Wildnerness Lodge". Mainly because they had a boat to take you back and forth to Magic Kingdom. With Eden being just 2 and 1/2 we figured that we would spent most of our time at Magic Kingdom. After arriving we had a character dinner with Winnie the Pooh and friends! Much to our surprise Eden loved the characters. She hugged each one and even bopped Tigger on the nose! Ouch! I don't think Tigger expected that. We saw the amazing fireworks and parades. Eden went on each and every ride smiling and laughing the entire time. Even the Pirates of the Caribbean! We also went to Animal Kingdom and Epcot! We even spent a day at Magic Kingdom in the pouring rain...all...day...long. But Eden was a trooper. Best part about that rain was that Eden got to see Mickey and Minnie Mouse without a long wait. We were not so successful trying to ride Dumbo! Just as it was our turn and after waiting 30 mins. they shut the ride due to stormy weather. Oh well just the perfect excuse to go back! We can't wait! Oh by the way, so far Eden still remembers the trip!
